The challenge
Professional raster to vector conversion without a subscription and without uploading files
Image to vector tools are either paid by subscription or they send your image to a remote server for processing. AiJoLabs built 12pixa on the opposite premise: all processing happens inside the user's browser, so the image never leaves their device at all.
There is no network request in the tool that uploads the image. The tracing engine itself runs in the browser, which makes privacy a structural property rather than a usage policy.
An in-browser tracing engine
The engine is built on VTracer compiled to WebAssembly and runs inside a dedicated Web Worker, so the interface stays responsive while an image is processed.
Presets tuned by measurement, not guesswork
Four ready modes for logos, flat art, photographs and black and white. Their values were set after measuring output size, path count and corner sharpness.
Full colour control before download
The editor exposes the resulting colour layers and lets you recolour any layer or hide it entirely before saving the SVG.
Six languages and a page per conversion path
A fully localised interface in six languages, plus dedicated landing pages for each route such as PNG to SVG and JPG to SVG.
Business value
What was this project built to achieve?
Every decision in the project is tied to an outcome the user can feel. Design is never treated as a layer separate from the work.
The result
A free tool with no usage limits that competes with paid products on output quality
This project reflects how AiJoLabs combines engineering, search visibility and user experience inside a product with one clear purpose. The tool is available at 12pixa.com.
